The things I want to do I cannot do without being root. [In my specific
case, I cannot even set up a connection without having been root.] Used
 olpc-update to install a current Update.1 build (667) on my G1G1.
Unfortunately, this build requires a password to get into root.

Earlier discussion said one should log in as olpc, then use 'sudo' to
specify a password for root. But __NOWHERE__ on my system can 'sudo' be
found. Not being able to get root, for me 667 is unusable.
