 For testing at least, and maybe for deployment, we need a way to set basic
 network parameters, such as Mesh TTL, multicast rate, whether to force to
 use jabber or Salut (or Polychronis' protocol).

 One way might be to just publish an MDNS record and have the laptops look
 up the values; there are certainly others.

 Having to set these parameters one at a time on each machine is going to
 become extremely time consuming as the number of machines scale up.
