 llaske,
 what I meant is to write a script that will take the texts from the PO
 file and combine them with the images to produce the localized gif files.
 I'll be looking into that this weekend and will post updates to this
 ticket and localization list.

 It's good that you want to help but we should try getting all the
 translations in one place which is Pootle for now. Furter more the README
 file in the above zip bundle says that you need Photoshop to edit the
 images. What about people who don't have Photoshop or any other image
 editors (GIMP) or their machines are slow enough to run the imaging
 software? The combination of: Pootle -> PO + base images = localized
 images can happen during the package build process. I think that's what we
 want in the end.
