 > Hi, I suggest you upgrade to a newer build: the evince-olpc package is
deprecated. Older Read versions depended on it, but newer versions don't
(they use package sugar-evince). I would recommend 693, the update.1
release candidate. That build needs lots of testing; bug reports are
 appreciated!

Yikes, I tried but 693 is a total disaster. First of all, the Read
activity suspends the XO in the middle of loading a page, in which case
the page perpetually says "loading". Then if you touch the mouse to
unsuspend it, it comes back up without the SD card, which (when running
off the SD card as I was) means the OS is totally dead and only a forced
power off is possible. What a waste of time.

For stability, I want to go back to 656, but can't exactly find the ext3
image for the official Ship2.2 Build 656. The jffs2 image is here:
http://download.laptop.org/xo-1/os/official/656/jffs2/ . But there are no
ext3 images for 656 in this tree.

The equivalent devel directory would seem to be here: http://xs-
 dev.laptop.org/~cscott/olpc/streams/ship.2/build656/devel_jffs2/ , but the
dates are more than 2 weeks earlier and the olpc.crc file is different
from the official one. So I don't know whether I can trust the ext3 image
 in http://xs-
 dev.laptop.org/~cscott/olpc/streams/ship.2/build656/devel_ext3/ to be the
same as the official Build 656.

To add to the confusion, there is yet another totally different Build 656
 here: http://xs-dev.laptop.org/~cscott/olpc/streams/update.1/build656/
with a considerably earlier date. How can anyone figure out who's on first
when multiple images are all called the same "build"?

Any clue where the "official" ext3 image of Build 656 is?
