 CORRECTION: although it's speedier for sure, page 6 of
 http://www.archive.org/download/flatlandromanceo00abbouoft/flatlandromanceo00abbouoft_bw.pdf
 still crashes the Read activity. I had thought it fixed, but realized that
 I had some swap space mounted. I rebooted without the swap, and it's up to
 its same old trick of crashing on page 6, even with no other activities
 except the journal running. I'll note this in #5869, and reopen that
 ticket if the problem persists past the Update.1 official release.

 But I'd still like to know how to install xpdf (even more so, now) in
 Build 657.
