 I don't know how big of a problem this is. Upstream looks to have problems
 with memory usage while reading some PDFs, but I don't know if jpritkin
 has found some other bug that affects us more directly.

 jpritking, if you can attach or put somewhere one of the pdfs that caused
 you problems, I could check.
