 ixo: could you do an rsync #comment:3 "copy contents to..."?

 But the transfer seems the easiest part?
  * easily select a subset of journal content.  Eg, filtering by mime type,
 Activity, particular activity session, time, and by direct un/selection.
  * extract them from the datastore, with meaningful names
  * zip and/or transfer
