 Per Adam/support-gang suggestion, I updated to Update.1-693 .

 While on battery (70%), after 1st reboot no Wifi, after 2nd reboot.. wifi
 is detected.
 Attached are results of dmesg, ifconfig , iwconfig after each reboot.
