 Did anyone try any of the recommendations given in http://www.mail-
 archive.com/netdev at vger.kernel.org/msg43609.html ?   We've got SO_PRIORITY
 (there's vlan code that uses magic skb->priority values), SO_DONTROUTE, or
 we could have the driver special case skb->pkt_type == MULTICAST and
 determine what the TTL should be given other properties of the packet (or
 some combination of those).  Should we even *have* multicast packets
 without a default mesh TTL of 1, ever?   If so, what's the use case for
 those?
