Comment:

 The Spanish keyboard is set up to use dead keys for accents (the English
 keyboard uses Unicode combing characters). The problem seem to be that
 Etoys works with the Unicode combining characters, but not dead keys.
 Sugar by-in-large works for both. By setting the xkb map to the US layout,
 Etoys worked, but the terminal activity broke!! (This was on Build 691).
