 Hi,

 Over the last week I've had three machines brought over to me in the
 following state:

  * screen is off
  * power light is solidly on
  * no response to keyboard or power button

 We got through to one machine in this state via serial, and managed to
 pull a dmesg.  It's an MP machine running a joyride build from today
 (1689), with up to date OFW too.  One pertinent section is:
