 Perhaps related: whe nusing the "paint with light" tool of Colors!
 ( http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Colors! ) getting a very bright light next to
 the camera caused the activity to crash, but not the whole system.  I
 reported it to the activity devs, but perhaps it's something happening
 below the activity level.  SJ
