 Another note,

 Through several updates... even Update.1 656 , I noticed several trends.

 Resume/suspend would work successfully, everytime.

 However, if I do did a 'reboot' from the 'Home' icon....

 * If the power was low (say... less than 20%?), the wifi would not come
 up.
   - Even with (root) /etc/init.d/network restart   or /NetworkManager
 restart  )
   - /sbin/ifconfig ,  did not show either msh0 or eth0 )

 * I plugged the laptop into wall power, did a 'shutdown'.
   -  After 60 seconds of off, turned on laptop... booted fine.
