 I am no expert, but the situation seems to be the reverse.  DBus tubes
 were definitely working.  I am told that Salut always uses multicast to
 implement DBus tubes.  If Salut was the transport, that means multicast
 was working.

 What was not working were invitations and stream tubes (i.e. sockets).
 These are both unicast by nature, and presumably implemented as such.
 Therefore, the situation appears to me to be the reverse.

 I wish someone would test this.  It's not hard to test.
