 'sudo su -' !?  Running su once you are already root?

 I'm pretty sure the become_root script should use 'sudo -i'.  This is a
 blocker for #5537.

 (I personally never liked 'become_root' in the first place, and we really
 ought to ruthlessly eliminate it.  We already have 'sudo' and 'runuser'
 and 'su' -- why, exactly, do we need one more *nonstandard* way of doing
 the same thing?)
