 Hello,

 We consider this problem to be the responsibility of the user. If we set
 the volume so low that no distortion will be caused no matter what you do,
 you will simply not hear any sound when you play normally. What you are
 hearing is the membrane of the speaker hitting the plastic casing. It is a
 mechanical design issue not a signal overload issue.

 I'll leave this open for a bit to see what comments it gathers but there
 is very little we can do about this.
