#9147: OFW unable to read SDHC card

I took a brand new Kingston 8GB Class 4 SDHC card which I have confirmed
works on another device. When I boot into the OFW prompt, and type "dir
 sd:\" I get:

SDHCI: Error: ISR = 8000 ESR = 10 Data Timeout, Stopping

I get this no matter how many times I try this command.
I have tried this with Q2F01 and Q2E24 with identical results. I have not
reformatted this card or done anything funny with it. Viewing the contents
of the internal flash and USB flash drives works fine.

I'm happy to help debug but I'm not sure where to start.
