Comment:

 I was able to reproduce this bug in 19 out of ~ 100 laptops today, by
 switching between different views using a keyboard, while being very
 carefull not to touch any keys except the view switching ones.

 In the affected laptop, one character (usually 2, 4 or 5) appears in the
 search window, and that character is highlighted (when normally typing
 characters in the search window, they appear not being highlighted).

 Showed the affected laptops to Chris, Paul and Ed.
