#8236: Home View "current activity" icon persists after failed launch

 Joyride 2368.  The first thing after a boot, I clicked on the Exec icon in
 Home View - it did not successfully launch.  After the Exec launch screen
 stopped pulsing, I was correctly returned to Home View.  But the icon
 being shown right underneath the central "me" XO image (mine is
 customized) was still Exec - instead of Journal.  (No other Activities had
 been started, so the only "active" one was Journal.)  Took screenshot with
 pointer hovering on that "leftover" Exec icon.
