 I'm not sure what you mean by "no result".  For me, every time I've chosen
 shut down or restart with 756-757, at least the Sugar session has closed,
 with the text console being shown instead.

 If the system then hangs with the text console showing, sometimes a bypass
 will allow shutdown to complete:  (*) If the text console does not show a
 prompt, I press ctl-alt-F2 -- this brings up the "don't do this" image,
 and shutdown eventually completes.  (*) If the text console prompts for
 input, instead of replying I press ctl-alt-F3, then <enter>.  This brings
 up the "don't do this" image, and shutdown eventually completes.
