 The problem is that this one malformed activity (which I installed from
 the Activities page some time ago) prevented all other activities from
 being updated. There is no indication in the UI what the cause of the hang
 was. It looked like a network problem to me, but a day later it still did
 not update  when it worked fine on my other machines. I had to examine the
 log file to find the cause and delete the offending bundle.

 IMHO the updating process is critical so I proposed this as blocker. A fix
 should not be too hard, possibly just a well-placed try/catch will solve
 it.
