Comment:
I'm going to piggyback on this one. I saw the same behavior early on, but
I believe that I was using a FAT formatted card.
However this is not the only time I've seen anomalous behavior with a SD
card plugged in. The following were with an ext2 formatted card, and
joyride 2xxx builds.
After a while of behaving normally, the XO would persistently fail to
connect to my local WAP. After removing the card, the XO attached
normally.
One evening the XO would stop recognizing keyboard input after a few
minutes use. It did not appear to be stuck keys as repeatedly touching
things like the control key did not clear it. This persisted across
shutdowns and reboots. After removing the SD card, the XO worked normally.
Having a defect that's repeatable in the short term, but which shows
wildly different symptoms in the long term suggests a memory corruption
issue to me. Something is writing where it shouldn't, stack or heap are
colliding or similar. What's going on when a SD card is present that isn't
otherwise?
