 Hi Guys,

A little more detail on the test case. That is a good case but in order to
paste in to that page, you need to select via clicking when the cursor is
a I then holding shift down and dragging. Once images and text are
selected you can choose copy and paste. Then you can choose copy in the
 URL above.

I get the image by taking the picture of the XO at wiki.laptop.org.

I am not able to right click on an image and choose copy in FF on XP then
choose paste in the URL above. That doesn't work on XO with browse either
but I'm OK with saying its not supported if it doesn't work in FF on XP.

The high level problem is that we want XOs to be able to upload images to
blogger.com. I believe that if we can make it work there we can make
EduBlog work and other web sites that allow image upload (e.g. out wiki).

I can think of 3 ways to get an image in to a web site:
1 - Copy and paste via control-C on the image then control-V
2 - Copy and paste by putting something on the clipboard then using the
Menu option Edit in browse and choosing paste.
3 - Use a file picker and choose an image file off the journal.

The first two are are not easy, even in FF on Windows XP (see explanation
above). I was able to copy and paste within blogger.com's new blog post
area. That is, I uploaded an image via file picker, then selected it then
chose copy then chose paste and I had two copies of it.

I was not able to right click an image on another web page, choose copy
then go to the blogger.com upload form and choose paste.

In short, if it doesn't work with FF3 on XP then I'm OK with it not
 working in browse on XO.

I was able to choose something from the file picker using blogger.com's
image upload option. I upload an image I created in Paint. It even showed
 the "Done" button!

So I think we can close this one.

I still have problems with the clipboard. It sometimes gets confused about
whether an object is an image or text. I also have trouble with uploading
things from Write to blogger.com. Blogger.com doesn't like the HTML format
of our write documents. Those are both separate bugs which I'll try to
follow up on at some point.

BTW I love the autocomplete of the new browse! I never would have had time
to do this test without that.

Sorry for the long explanation but wanted to give all the details in case
Emilano is still watching. This is an important use case: upload text and
images to the web from the XO. I'll work on improving the whole work flow
 in 9.1.

 Thanks,

 Greg S
