 'HOWEVER, Browse did not provide the expected feedback that the downloads
 happened. I did 2 gmail.xo downloads because of lack of feedback from
 Browse. Both showed in Journal.'

 This could be the case when you have more than one instance of browse
 open. The download alert can then be shown in the other instance. And yes
 the other issue sounds a bit like #5428
