 Hmm.  Again, this is harder than I originally thought.  Ted did some work
 to retain the text attributes when the box is empty, but not quite sure if
 it applies.  For one kind of workaround, I could make a line in the
 launchMiniEditor: looks like:

 textMorph contents: ((contents isEmpty ifTrue: [' '] ifFalse: [contents]).

 but if the user hit the delete key first and erase the selected text, it
 still exhibits the same problem.
