 no prob.  it gave me something to do on the T. ;-)  i did the analysis on
 the way home -- i think people were wondering why i kept opening and
 closing my XO without typing anything on it.  and then i examined the EC
 code (to eliminate it as the culprit) on the way to work.

 the kernel change shouldn't block the ohm, change, right?   since ohm will
 be (re)setting the same bits that the kernel is hard coding.
