#8056: old compreg.dat causes crash when changing values in about:config

 after an upgrade (either of the browse acctivity or olpc-update, not sure)
 making changes in about:config and clicking on ok (not hitting enter)
 causes a segfault.

 xo was upgraded from build-703 to joyride-2240 and then browse was
 upgraded to version 95. if the problem already existed earlier is unknown.

 compreg.dat issues may be related to #5428
