Comment:

 Yes, Groups view has been stagnant for quite some time, and I imagine this
 is not a regression.  The design for Groups has slowly evolved into a
 literal subset of the Neighborhood, complete with people, activities, and
 clustering.  The only difference is the focus on a particular subset of
 the people, as chosen by the Group filter.  This was evident in the MoMA
 video, but not made clear in the still mockups yet.

 I think for 9.1.0 we'd get fairly good mileage by duplicating (or reusing
 at least the model to prevent duplication) the Neighborhood view, with
 some adjusted icon sizes and a different toolbar.  Since proper group
 support is also on the list for 9.1.0, it's the perfect time to get this
 right.
