 It includes a search box with a blinking cursor, which makes the process
 wake up every second to blink it.

 This burns power unnecessarily.

 I noticed this by doing "strace -p NNNN" in the Linux console, aimed at
 the process called "python /usr/bin/sugar-shell", while the control panel
 was running.
