 This machine I've got here has been hung for several hours.  I don't think
 it's coming back.  This may or may not be the same problem joe is seeing.
 On my machine, I just noticed that both network LEDs are out; wad thinks
 this means my problem is related to #7973.  Joe's machine 'hung' with the
 'drum brakes' wireless led flashing rapidly (which is probably just an
 accurate reflection of traffic).
