Comment(by dsaxena):

 So a quick analysis of what is happening from Daniel's log:

 The firmware is responding to 0x50 command (ASSOCIATE) with a DEFER, which
 means the FW is busy doing something else. The kernel responds by " Will
 let it time out...". After a 10 cycles of this, the driver does an EC
 reset. The EC rest forces a USB disconnect/reconnect and the second time
 we see this, khub gets hung on the disconnect and we see the backtraces
 from the kernel b/c "task khubd:313 blocked for more than 120 seconds".

 The fact that the driver even has code in there to reset the chip over the
 EC makes me really question the stability of our whole wireless firmware
 and driver stack. Javier, do you know why this was put in here in the
 first place?
