 Also, note that the recalibration stuff is in response to the cursor
 behaving erratically.  The jumpy cursor is a hardware bug, and the
 touchpad driver versions should not make a difference at all (other than
 the current driver actually forcing the hardware to fix itself, and the
 older driver attempting to do so far less successfully).

 I'm not convinced that switching back to 708 and it working better is
 anything other than luck, unless you can reliably prove that (say,
 switching back and forth between the two images 20 times and always seeing
 similar behavior).
