 I'll attach a patch to improve the progress bar.

 Adding this as a blocker to 7413, which is becoming my collector for
 'polish' issues which are hard to justify as blockers.

Comment:

 benzea: i think marco also wanted the corresponding screenshot pre-patch,
 to get an idea of "how bad" this currently looks.  And, for completeness,
 you should also include the 'pulse' state of the progress bar, which pre-
 patch is inconsistent with the 'fraction' state.
