Comment(by mikus):

 I believe that evey olpc-update places its result in the "alternate"
 version slot. Thus, if one has not rebooted, the previously existing
 "primary" version slot (2230) is still active, and shows the version under
 which one performed the olpc-update as current.

 When one reboots after olpc-update, the "alternate" and "primary" version
 slots get AUTOMATICALLY swapped. The "primary" that is now active is the
 version (2263) that was installed by the olpc-update, and now shows as
 current. The previous version (2230 - the one under which the olpc-update
 was performed) is now the 'alternate".

 [[BR]]
 After the reboot, your Joyride-2230 is still there in the "alternate"
 version slot. If you were to hold down the 'O' game button while powering
 up, the "alternate" and "primary" version slots would be MANUALLY swapped
 -- that is, the version slot containing Joyride-2230 would become
 "primary", and 2230 would show as currrent. The version slot containing
 Joyride-2263 would have become the "alternate" [from which it could be
 recalled by again using the 'O' game button on power-up to swap version
 slots].
