Comment:

 It looks like /etc/rc.sysinit reads fsck options from /fsckoptions .

 It also touches /.autofsck which is removed during a clean shutdown, which
 pulls in /etc/sysconfig/autofsck (empty by default).

 Since unclean reboots are standard for the XS, there is no distinction to
 be made.

 The non-interactive options are -n and -y.
