The laptop only lasts about 8 hours with the lid closed, because the mesh
chip burns so much power. But if the user has turned off the mesh, there
is no reason to keep the chip powered on when the laptop is closed (the
laptop won't be forwarding packets for anyone else -- nor for itself).

Suspending by closing the lid should power down the chip when the mesh is
off. This would make a lid-closed laptop last much longer (days,
 probably).

We never did this before, because there was no GUI for turning the mesh
off and on. Now there is (see the blocked-by tickets).
