 For what it's worth, I've been testing this in the faster branch for a
 while with no problems.  It does make the progress bars look much better.

 (If you'd like to see the difference by looking at faster, you have to be
 a little careful which faster build you pull, because my local ".1"
 release of sugar-artwork with these patches has been superceded by new
 upstream releases several times.  The faster-2266 build should be a good
 one to look at.)
