 This is just a comment -- I am  NOT  asking for any kind of a change to
 the code.

 I routinely run with two SD cards on my G1G1 XO, plus a USB hard disk
 (several partitions), plus one or two additional USB sticks.  [Obviously,
 this is by using a cardreader-hub.]  Because I do  NOT  depend upon the
 Journal to access these removable storage devices (I use CLI commands), I
 do not *care* how many icons the Journal shows for those devices. [In
 fact, some of them have hundreds and hundreds of files, so I don't *want*
 Journal to be "scanning" them.]  And if the OLPC does not "automount" all
 of these devices, that is o.k. with me as well - I can issue the necessary
 'mount' command(s) myself.
