 Currently Gadget supports the following type of searches:
 - buddies search based on their properties
 - buddies search based on their alias
 - activities search based on their properties
 - activities search based on their participants
 - random request

 We need to support searches from an unformatted text input (as typed by
 users in a input text bar).

 Question: Do we need to distinct activities and buddies searches or
 perform a heterogenous search?
