 After applying the patch, some list entries in activity list or journal
 get rendered strangely (journal) or even not rendered at all (activity
 list), logs shows several:

 {{{
 TypeError: not all arguments converted during string formatting
 }}}

 See the screenshot and the attached logs. Then happens only with Arabic,
 not English nor French.
