 In case you missed it:

 11. Thou shalt not store thy data in fucking XML base64.

 While picking through journal spam, I came across a 2 MB file
 created by the record activity. It had 17 items like this:

 }}}

 It's a good thing I only had 17 items. I strongly suspect that
 the activity would run out of memory if a real child were to be
 taking lots of photos.

 I dare not ask if video also gets stored in base64 XML.
