Comment:
I see identical results with Q2D16 and Q2E12f.
With the USB stick plugged in at the XO, 'show-devs /usb' gives:
/pci/usb at f,5/scsi at 3,0 [[br]]
/pci/usb at f,5/wlan at 0,0 [[br]]
/pci/usb at f,5/scsi at 3,0/disk
and 'dir disk:\' shows the USB stick's root directory.
[[br]]
With a card-reader hub plugged in at the XO, and the USB stick plugged in
at the hub, 'show-devs /usb' gives:
<1> /pci/usb at f,5/hub at 3,0 [[BR]]
<2> /pci/usb at f,5/wlan at 0,0 [[BR]]
<3> /pci/usb at f,5/hub at 3,0/device at 4,0 [[BR]]
<4> /pci/usb at f,5/hub at 3,0/scsi at 3,0 [[BR]]
<5> /pci/usb at f,5/hub at 3,0/scsi at 1,0 [[BR]]
<6> /pci/usb at f,5/hub at 3,0/scsi at 3,0/disk [[BR]]
<7> /pci/usb at f,5/hub at 3,0/scsi at 1,0/disk [[BR]]
Notes:
<2> This is the built-in radio at the XO [[BR]]
<3> This is my USB-ethernet adapter [[BR]]
<4> +++ See below [[BR]]
<5> This is the USB stick plugged in at the hub
[[BR]]
--------
If there is a SD card plugged in at the cardreader-hub, lines <4> and <6>
show up, and 'dir disk:\' shows me the SD card's root directory. So far,
so good. [Note: I __already__ have a "permanent" SD card plugged directly
into my XO.]
[[BR]]
But if there is __NO__ SD card plugged in at the cardreader-hub, lines <4>
and <6> still show up. Now when I enter 'dir disk:\', it tells me "Can't
open directory".
[[BR]]
Whether or not there is a SD card plugged in at the cardreader-hub, the
only way I have found to access an USB stick plugged in at the cardreader-
hub is to use the *full* device name string in the OFW command - for
example 'dir /pci/usb at f,5/hub at 3,0/scsi at 1,0/disk:\'.
