 These files get created in /home/olpc and are not reliably deleted.

 Remember, the laptop does not shut down. It loses power. Deleting
 the file during some theoretical "shutdown" will not do the job.

 I'm expecting to get about 33400 of them (hitting the PID limit)
 if they don't eat all the NAND storage first. Of course, directory
 performance is likely to be hopeless long before then.
