#6936: Turn off the freezer?

So, we have this problem of userspace taking too long to resume because
driverspace takes too long to resume. But, this wasn't always a
synchronous process -- on powerpc, the freezer never happens and we start
scheduling pretty early in the kernel resume (right?).

If we're lucky, what happens is that userspace is quickly responsive
again, and we're able to draw on the screen and so on for the ~800ms that
USB is blocking while the devices come up. If we're not particularly
unlucky, the stuff that happens to break is fixable with a small amount of
 effort.

 Thoughts?
