Comment:

 What is requested? That salut is shut down or that the mesh is shut down?

 If it is the first (salut), then this is the same of #6299 (which btw,
 although closed is still an issue - check #6882 and #6886).

 If it is the second (mesh), then this is the mesh stop/start feature which
 is reported to be fixed in firmware version 22p9 (but not tested).

 It is not clear to me why this ticket's title and summary speaks of
 scanning and I am basing my comment on the second part of the sentence
 ("disabling the mesh when it connects"). So, there is a chance I
 completely misunderstood it.
