 Hmm, i just rebooted, and couldn't reproduce most of what I said, so for
 now please disregard everything unless point 3. On the first switch to a
 detailed view, it took 24 seconds.

 Also, on first boot, and after all the screen icons appeared, the jounal
 took 18 seconds to be executed (until its icon stopped blinking on the
 activity ring).
