Comment:
Marco,
First, thanks very much for trying this.
In the next planned release of Rainbow (0.6.6), I've fixed the basic
breakage due to the missing StringIO import and I also corrected the path
to sugar-activity-factory, which changed recently (not exactly sure when)
from /usr/share/sugar/bin/... to /usr/bin/...
Fixing these two problems allows one to actually create a container and to
try to start an activity inside it; however, activity launch now fails for
a more subtle reason involving an unforeseen interaction between sandboxed
updates, our particular variant of the VServer patches, and activity
containerization.
I'm going to try to fix this interaction today.
P.S. - Ivan, the rainbow/rainbow/util/process.py file became available in
commit 7f3ce9f62b7dadfd8c6e087b9c06a06f6d0b9874
