 Forgot to mention a detail of 2:
 In XoIRC, if you select text and press Ctrl+C, an unnamed clipping appears
 in the clipboard, using the data clipping icon. But "Open" is grayed out,
 and it can't be pasted to other activities like Write, either with Ctrl+V
 or Dnd.
