 I got it.  When you shrink the window, apparently the clip region doesn't
 change, and we didn't bother trying to figure out the video scaling again.
 Adding in code to remember the previous width and height and re-running
 the video setup code when the width/height changes fixes the problem.
 This should be a pretty minor change (it doesn't hurt to re-run the video
 init), so it might be worthwhile for trial-3 if Jim agrees.  If so, I'll
 check it in tomorrow, otherwise I'll attach the patch here to be checked
 in later.
