 Beacons serve a very important purpose: alert that there other machines in
 the vicinity.
 What does active scan mean in mesh mode? Can you elicit a beacon from an
 MP?

 If so, we can disable constant beaconing altogether, otherwise I would
 just change their frequency to 1Hz (or 0.5Hz) from the current 10Hz
